Sharing the love of what we do

Sharing the love of what we do

So, this is where we start to feel a bit…. Aged like fine wine?… Yes, very fine wine. Oh, see now we are just thirsty. OK, back to the point at hand – growing up in the Cayman Islands the majority of our team didn’t have the opportunities to learn about marketing and design as is provided today. Despite this, we were still fortunate enough to have found our careers that we love so dearly. Due to this internal passion for marketing, we wanted to share that experience with young Caymanians because we believe you should do what you love and love what you do.

We at FSH Design are blessed and very proud to have brought on two young driven interns this spring, Shamelia McPherson & Jerome Mills. As 2nd year students at UCCI we wanted to know what they thought about marketing and what they hoped to learn. From the mouths of babes…

What is Marketing you may ask? Marketing to me is best described as the process of creating value and building relationships with customers to get them interested and engaged in what it is you are offering. I want to learn about this and what marketing really entails especially social media marketing because social media marketing is becoming bigger and bigger every day. I also want to expand my knowledge on what working in the graphic design field has to offer.

I think to work in this aspect of the business is fun and enjoyable because it challenges you to be creative and it keeps you on your toes.  This field is constantly changing, and you must always try to be one step ahead of the game with knowledge of new techniques and strategies that come about. FSH Design Ltd provides me with that challenge, I am ecstatic to be offered this position of becoming a part-time intern for FSH Design! I’ve always wanted to know what it would be like to work in an environment where I am encouraged to express my creativity.

As soon as I walked in through the door I looked around and saw the creativity literally on the walls and all around, it stirred my creative imagination and I thought to myself this is somewhere where I can comfortably express my thoughts in a creative, positive, and business manner. As an intern exploring the traits of this profession, I hope to gain knowledge of the many services that are offered, as well as, the creative strategies that are taken to help clients grow. We are both ready to take on all challenges given to us, bring it on!

– Shamelia and Jerome!
